statement:

The objective of the Thunder Youth Cheer organization is to inspire youth to practice sportsmanship, scholastic improvement, and physical fitness, while familiarizing all youth with fundamentals of football and cheer.

frequently asked questions

Q: How much does registration cost?

A: A non-refundable fee of $100 is due at the time of registration will be applied towards your uniform package.

Q: What is the total cost for the season?

A: In addition to the $100 registration fee, you can expect to pay approximately $550 to cover two camp outfits, two bows, a full uniform package (bow to toe), and camp. Please note this is an estimated cost based on previous years, but the exact cost will be announced at the parent meeting on April 4th.

Q: Does TYC participate in a cheer camp?

A: Yes! For the 2019 season, we will be attending JAMZ camp in August at Stanislaus State in Turlock (dates TBD). Varsity will be attending the overnight camp and JV, Pee Wee, and Rookie will be attending the commuter (day) camp.

Q: Will there be fundraisers to help offset the cost?

A: Yes! Fundraisers planned for the 2019 season include: specialty popcorn sales, a pancake breakfast at the Atwater Applebees, and candy apple sales.  Additional fundraisers are currently in the works and will be announced.

Q: How old does my child have to be to register?

A:

Rookie ----- 1st and 2nd graders

Pee Wee --- 3rd and 4th graders

JV --------- 5th and 6th graders

Varsity ---- 7th and 8th graders
